Major: Computer Science
Chris Grant graduated from Stuyvesant High School in New York City as an AP Scholar with Distinction and a National Merit Finalist.
Chris has long been interested in technology and at the age of 11, he taught himself to program in the C programming language. Over the years he has continued to teach himself a wide variety of programming languages and software paradigms.
During high school, Chris worked as a freelance web developer and built web solutions for clients from a variety of industries. Chris also founded an edTech startup, Landme, that is aimed at combating the education resource gap by maintaining a database and search engine of internships, summer programs, and volunteering opportunities.
Currently, Chris is interested in the intersection between design and technology and is pursuing a degree in computer science, with a possible double major in Psychology. Chris also works for Squarespace, Inc, during breaks, as a full-stack software engineer.
Chris is extremely honored to have been selected for the Reginaldo Memorial Scholarship and hopes to use the opportunities it affords to better both himself and the larger Duke community.
