Jaime Gordon

2019 – Norton, Virginia

Jaime comes to Duke from Central High School in Norton, VA. In addition to being class valedictorian, Jaime served as student body vice-president during her senior year and was voted Most Likely to Succeed. She was a National Achievement Scholar and a National AP Scholar. As captain of her school’s Academic Team, Jaime led her team to a 3rd place finish at the state tournament. Jaime was also heavily involved in theatre, public speaking, Future Business Leaders of America, and National Honor Society.

At Duke, Jaime is a Cultural Anthropology major, with a Political Science minor and a certificate in Markets and Management. She hopes to pursue a career in finance. On campus, she is involved with FAC Board and The Standard. Jaime also enjoys participating in Duke Financial Economics competitions. In the past, she served as University News Department Head for The Chronicle, a Collegiate Correspondent for USA Today, and a Campus Ambassador for MTV News. In December 2015, Jaime spent ten days in Japan as a participant in the Kakehashi Project. She will spend part of this summer studying abroad in Geneva, Switzerland.

Jaime hopes to make the most of her time at Duke and play a role in continuing Reginaldo Howard’s legacy.
